TLV - Notes For People Left Behind

What it says on the tin. There are two headings, one for notes he wrote before his disappearance and one for notes he wrote to send with Jedao back to the barge. I'll be adding more over the next week as I finish them!

Arthur gets the book Edwin had started working on after Faroe's visit to the Barge. It's finished now--a folio-sized, leather-bound thing that looks like it should be incredibly heavy but somehow isn't. The cover is thick, peacock-blue, dyed with other shades in green and purple that only catch the light when the book is tilted one way or another, almost like layers that were painted on and lacquered over during the process. It's dizzying to look at for anyone who isn't, you know, Arthur, but in this case Edwin figured that would be a feature and not a bug.

The interior pages are all individually pressed, some with flower petals or other bits of decoration mixed in and squeezed flat. Each page is thick, with little metal corner mountings affixed to one side to hold drawings in place. The back of each page has notes on the drawing: anything Faroe said about it, the things depicted if it isn't obvious, and (he debated over this part) his own notes on what he remembers from the day and how the drawing made him feel. The bottom half of each page is blank, so Arthur can add anything he wants to. There are easily as many blank pages with brackets of various sizes for various page configurations behind the drawings that are already mounted.

There's a small note tucked in between the cover and the glossy endpaper.

Dear Arthur,

I hope you look at these enough to only cry when they make you happy.

I don't think there's a lot I can say that matters more than that.
